Frequently Asked Questions
- Is it possible to divide HDMI between two monitors?
An HDMI splitter splits a device’s HDMI video output, such as a Roku, into two distinct audio and video streams. After splitting the video, you can send it to two separate monitors from a single source. - Is an HDMI switch preferable to an HDMI splitter?
An HDMI splitter is frequently the best option if you only want to connect a few devices or need to use longer connections. You may quickly switch the HDMI source that suits the device once everything is connected. When sending a signal to many TVs, an HDMI splitter is also advised. - What is a bidirectional HDMI splitter, and how does it work?
A bidirectional HDMI switch combines the functions of an HDMI splitter and an HDMI switch. It can function as an HDMI switch with multiple inputs and a single output, or as an HDMI splitter with a single input and several outputs. - What is the purpose of an HDMI switch?
The traffic lights at the intersection of all your HDMI device inputs are HDMI switches. All signals are available and active on the HDMI switch, but only one can get through to the TV at a time. - Is an HDMI splitter useful for extending the display?
An HDMI splitter can’t split the screen between two monitors. A splitter is a device that mirrors the original image across two or more monitors. A USB-to-HDMI adaptor can essentially add a second HDMI port, allowing the display to be extended. However, not all PCs can use a USB port to connect to a monitor.
